They both have their individual centres over regions in India where there are NSDL and Income Tax offices. TIN Facilitation Centres belong to NDSL and IT PAN Service Centres belong to UTIITSL. Any tax paying Indian can apply through these centres for a Pan Card. UTIITSL, when elaborated it is UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited, founded in the year 1993. NDSL is a depository established in the year 1996. It is the first electronic depository of India. The part of this depository is the NDSL electronic-governance with its several functions takes care of Pan Card issuance.

UTIITSL offers a Pan Card Toll-free Number but NDSL have chargeable phone numbers. PAN stands for Permanent Account Number. It is against law to have two or more Pan Card in one's own name. It has become simple to make a PAN card nowadays and everyone can make it for them if it is needed. You can apply for PAN card online. When applied online, assuming you furnished all the details in the applications and attached all the documents demanded, you will have the card delivered soon. In case you miss your Pan Card or have it damaged then you can remake or replace the card.  If you have the PAN with you, it can be done soon.

If the PAN is not with you, you can still have your card remade or replaced but this will involve a large amount of time for the staffs to do the research and find your details in their database and compare them with those in the documents you have submitted for either a remake or a replacement.   1. I had applied for the duplicate PAN Card as I lost the PAN Card by filling the form online and made payments online. Submitted the Acknowledgement form and supporting documents to near by PAN Card Center. Myself checking the online status, its showing "Pan Card will be dispatched shortly" for more than 25 days. When we called customer care, they are saying we have given to print the card. Would it take 25 days to print one card? Would like to know by when the PAN card would be dispatched. It would be good if there is any sms facility to check its status.
